{"id":2,"date":"2022-02-09T05:49:24","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T05:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/box5686\/cgi\/addon_GT.cgi?s=GT::WP::Install::EIG+%28entitle8%29+-+10.0.87.65+%5BWordpress%3b+\/var\/hp\/common\/lib\/Wordpress.pm%3b+543%3b+Hosting::gap_call%5D\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2024-12-13T19:28:07","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T19:28:07","slug":"i-help-students-go-from-dropout-to-deans-list","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dropouttodeanslist.com\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">THIS SITE is for two groups of people: at-risk students and their concerned parents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roughly half of the high school and college students in the US and Canada are failing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here are some of the things that happen:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>they don\u2019t graduate from high school<\/li>\n<li>they can\u2019t get into college<\/li>\n<li>they can\u2019t\u00a0 get into the college they want<\/li>\n<li>they can\u2019t get into the program they want<\/li>\n<li>they get into the wrong program<\/li>\n<li>they have no idea what program to enter<\/li>\n<li>they fail at a college<\/li>\n<li>they drop out<\/li>\n<li>they get into drugs, alcohol, or gambling (because they are failing at school)<\/li>\n<li>vice versa<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0they switch programs mid-stream and take years more than necessary to get going in life<\/li>\n<li>they get pregnant and have to leave school<\/li>\n<li>shall I go on?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The students we help are those in senior high school, college, university, or any other post-secondary training or education.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We take on students who have failed at school or who have dropped out; are thinking of dropping out; or whose grades are terrible;\u00a0 whose attitude has been worse. The key word there is \u201chas-been.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0WE TEACH STUDENTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>the rigors of academic life.<\/li>\n<li>how to study, concentrate, and use their memory.<\/li>\n<li>study skills, organization skills, and academic preparation skills.<\/li>\n<li>time management (which is self-management)<\/li>\n<li>anti-procrastination skills<\/li>\n<li>how to say \u201cno.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>how to choose the right college program<\/li>\n<li>how to choose the right (kind of) school<\/li>\n<li>We teach SELF-KNOWLEDGE by which the student becomes self-directed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will teach you communication essentials: reading, writing, listening and speaking (WHICH MEANS THINKING!)\u00a0 but we won\u2019t give you anything for it except skill at the things you need to succeed in life.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You&#8217;ll get confidence in your ability to be a successful student. We help students figure out who they are, what they want, and how to get there.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">We teach you to know yourself so they can make smart, correct decisions about which program to enter in college or any post-secondary field of study or training.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">You&#8217;ll discover your hidden talents, abilities, gifts, and strengths.
